Multi R IT nominated to provide e-waste recycling services for a large Australian retail organisation represented throughout the country.
- Requires provision of "recycling certificate" detailing weight and breakdown of equipment recycled.
- Includes CRT monitors, data centre equipment, printers, desktops, network equipment, phones and other IT-related hardware
- 30+ pallets of equipment already recycled.
March 2011 Federal Govt Dept successfully upgraded AND relocated.
470 hardware asset refresh including on-site SOE imaging and off-site data-wipe of old systems, followed by whole of IT relocation:
i.e. decommission, removal and transport to another CBD site and re-install over a 2.5 day period.
Performed under highly constrained conditions
- one site still under construction
- goods lift not working in other site!
Stage 1 Refresh –
- 8 site personnel – 2 days
- Image 220 desktops on site
- Decommission 220 complete workstation kits
- HDD, audit, report + return to leasing company
- Deploy complete new workstation kits
- Units all logged on to network
Stage 2 Relocation -
- 15 site personnel – 2 days
- Deinstall and transport to new site
- Reinstall 220 complete workstation environments, specific to individual user location on floor plan
- Including printers & phones
- Remove all excess and obsolete packing material inc foam from site
June 2010 Multi R IT signs partnership agreement with Perth-based asset recovery services company.
M ulti R 's bespoke asset management system is now being used in the Perth location. - Logistics costs substantially reduced for WA customers
- Same high level of asset control and reporting is maintained.
April 2010 Multi R IT completes logistics requirements for Phase I printer rollout - Australian Government department.
- 58 large multi-function printers installed at Sydney CBD sites.
- Site constraints:- printers delivered & moved to floors after 9pm
- Sometimes less than 12 hours notice per delivery/install
- Packaging removed from site, leaving premises clean & tidy.
Nov 2009 Successfull processing of 3,500 laptops:
- Urgent job required by global accounting firm
- Processed within a 2 week period
- Nationwide pickup
- Full audit by serial #, with specs & condition
- Data sanitisation with 3 x pass disk wipe
- Reload of operating system
- Reporting to customer and return to leasing company
